"We had a real rough start on bars and vault wasn't as good as it could be," said head coach Debbie Yohman. "Though I was really proud of them with how they went to floor had their best performance of the season and then moved to beam and finished strong there. It was fun to watch."
Bringing a bright spot to the Panther lineup was junior Lindsay Offutt and freshman Taylor Laymon, who both notched first place honors in individual events.

The Panthers then moved to vault for their second rotation and improved slightly with a score of 47.850. Pearson's 9.800 was the highest for Pitt followed by Miya Dotson's 9.675.

"Moving forward we need to do the same thing we have been doing," said Yohman. "We will focus on something during the week and if we can make that improvement for next week, we will just keep improving little by little."
The Panthers will continue their season next Friday when they travel to Kent State for a 7 p.m. meet.
