NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Pitt tennis team fell to Brown in its first day of competition at the Bulldog Invitational on Friday afternoon. The doubles duo of Callie Frey and freshman Clara Lucas were the lone Panthers to record wins on the day.
"Today we had a bad day in the office," head coach Alex Santos said. "We didn't get the outcome we were looking for and most importantly we didn't play the way we wanted to. The good news is that the main cause wasn't our tennis but the need to do a better job competing and controlling our emotions under pressure. Tomorrow we will find out if we have the toughness and confidence to rebound."
