KNOXVILLE, TENN. – The University of Pittsburgh gymnastics team finished third at the Ozone Collegiate Classic Saturday evening, defeating Air Force, but falling to Iowa State and SE Missouri. The Panthers (1-5, 0-1 ACC) had two individual first-place finishers in junior Tracey Pearson and senior Lindsay Offutt.
“Overall we had three events improve from last weekend,” said head coach Debbie Yohman. “The girls did a really good job and we had some strong individual performances from Tracey [Pearson] and Lindsay [Offutt]. However, we self-destructed on bars. I’m not sure what the solution is but that will have to come from within.”
