Panthers Primed for Ohio State Fall Invitational

PITTSBURGH—The University of Pittsburgh swimming & diving teams return to action this weekend at the one of the premier early season meets in the nation as the Panthers compete against some of college swimming's top teams and individuals at the Ohio State Fall Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.
Pitt head coach John Hargis is looking forward to seeing what the Panthers can do against swimmers and divers from teams like Ohio State, Stanford, Penn State, Kentucky, Iowa, Utah, Yale, Washington State and more.
"This is a significant opportunity for our team to match up with some of the best in the country and see where we're at," Hargis said. "Our goal right now continues to be showing improvement each week, and we're aiming to post some of our best times and marks of the season at Ohio State this weekend."
The Ohio State Fall Invitational begins on Friday at 11 a.m. with preliminary swimming events and will continue through Sunday evening. A full schedule of the meet is listed below:

The Panthers will be led by Dominic Giordano and Meme Sharp in the diving events. The Pitt men's team may see top performances from the likes of Henrique Machado, Spencer Gray, Zach Lierley and others, while the women's squad hopes Kinga Cichowska, Valerie Daigneault, Amanda Richey and company can build off their strong start to the season.
