Giordano Earns All-America Distinction on 1M

ATLANTA – Junior diver Dominic Giordano earned All-America honors Thursday evening on the 1M board in the opening day of the 2016 NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships in Atlanta.
Giordano earned eighth in the final round of competition, posting a score of 367.20 as the second ACC diver to place in the top eight.
In the preliminary round, the Wexford, Pa., native earned a score of 367.80 to earn the sixth-spot in the finals. Giordano was the highest ACC qualifier on the event, besting Briadam Herrera by more than five points.
Giordano will return to the diving well tomorrow, taking to the 3M board. Prelims are scheduled to get underway at 12 p.m. with the finals to follow at 6 p.m. Friday’s final action can be seen live on ESPN3.
