Pitt Opens Fall Season in Miami

PITTSBUGRH - The Pitt tennis team is set to travel to Coral Gables, Fla., for the Miami Fall Invite, hosted by the University of Miami Friday, Sept. 23-Sunday, Sept. 25, at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
The Panthers will clash with numerous nationally ranked opponents from Miami, while also facing opponents from FIU and FAU.
Doubles will start at 9 a.m. each day, will singles following as courts become available.
On the doubles side, Pitt will first face FIU Friday, followed by FAU and Miami Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The singles weekend lineup features FAU Friday with Miami and FIU Saturday and Sunday.
Pitt enters the weekend coming off of a 7-14 (1-13 ACC) record from last spring. The Panthers are led by an experienced veteran group, headlined by seniors Audrey Ann Blakely and b, as well as redshirt senior Amber Washington. Blakely enters this fall with a national ranking of 121. The only new member of the team is freshman Jovana Knezevic.
