The Opening Tip

- Jared Wilson-Frame scored 17 points and matched a season-high with four assists in the game. He knocked down three three-point field goals and had a pair of three-point plays for the Panthers.
- Shamiel Stevenson provided a spark off the bench with 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field and 4-of-6 from the foul line, while Jonathan Milligan added 12 points and a career-best five assists off the bench.
- Parker Stewart made four three-point field goals to become Pitt's single-season freshman leader in threes (60). He finished 4-of-6 from beyond the arc and scored 16 points in the loss.
- Pitt has started three or more freshmen in a game 20 times, including each of the past 18 contests. Freshmen have combined to make 89 starts as Marcus Carr (25), Khameron Davis (20), Parker Stewart (17), Terrell Brown (14), Shamiel Stevenson (11) and Peace Ilegomah (2) have each made starts this season.

- Parker Stewart has scored in double figures in 10 of 15 ACC contests and is averaging 11.1 points per game in league play. He ranks fifth in the ACC in three-point percentage (.432) and is fourth in three-point field goals (2.73 3pg.) in conference play.
- Jared Wilson-Frame is averaging 14.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.0 made threes per game over the past eight contests. He has scored in double figures in seven of the past eight games and made three or more threes in six of those contests.

- Terrell Brown leads the Panthers with 36 blocked shots and ranks ninth in the ACC with 1.8 blocks per game in conference play. Steven Adams (2013) was the last Pitt freshman to lead the team in blocks. Brown has recorded two or more blocks in eight of Pitt's 15 ACC contests.
- Jared Wilson-Frame leads the team in scoring at 12.8 points per game and shares the team lead with 60 three-point field goals. He has scored in double figures 20 times and made three or more three-point field goals in a game 11 times.
- Shamiel Stevenson leads the team in field goal percentage (.524) and has scored in double figures 11 times. Stevenson also leads the team with 127 rebounds on the year. Steven Adams (2013) was the last Panther freshman to lead the team in field goal percentage and rebounds.
- Marcus Carr leads Pitt in minutes (812), starts (25), free throw percentage (.840), assists (118) and steals (20). He has scored in double figures 13 times and ranks ninth among ACC freshmen in scoring at 10.2 points per game.
- Parker Stewart has made a Pitt freshman record 60 three-point field goals. He is tied for 11th in the ACC (second among freshmen) in threes. Stewart has made three or more three-pointers in a game eight times in league play.
- Pitt's freshman class has accounted for 67.4 percent (614-of-925) of the team's scoring over the past 15 games. The group has 24 of Pitt's 36 double-figure scoring games in that span.
- Newcomers have accounted for 84.9 percent (1504-of-1771) of the team's scoring, 85.3 percent (754-of-884) of the team's rebounding and 80.6 percent (286-of-355) of the team's assists on the season.
