Panthers Resume Action Friday, April 5 at Syracuse
WEXFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh tennis team completed its final home match in program history Sunday afternoon, falling to No. 2 North Carolina, 7-0, at the Oxford Athletic Club.
With the loss, the Panthers drop to 4-13 overall and 0-10 in conference play, while the Tar Heels improve to 22-1 and 10-0 against ACC foes.
The Tar Heels gained the early advantage after clinching the doubles point on courts one and three.
Moving to singles, North Carolina turned in straight-set victories on all but two courts.
Sophomore Camila Moreno and freshman Mariona Perez Noguera both forced a third set, but ultimately suffered a loss.
The Panthers resume action Friday, April 5 at Syracuse before concluding the weekend at Boston College Sunday, April 7.
