• Pitt ranks 65th in the latest NCAA Net rankings and 63rd in KenPom. The Panthers are 3-2 in Quad 1 games with wins at Northwestern, at NC State, and against Virginia. Pitt also has Quad 2 wins over ACC opponents North Carolina, Wake Forest, and at Syracuse.
• Blake Hinson has posted 19 double-figure scoring games, including 12 games with 15 or more points and five 20+ point games. He is the only player in the ACC averaging 16.0 or more points (16.2 ppg.) and 6.0 or more rebounds per game (6.4 rpg.) with 50 or more three-point field goals (52 3FG).
• Jamarius Burton is averaging 17.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game in conference play. He is shooting 53.5 percent (69-of-129) from the field and 89.7 percent (35-of-39) from the foul line in ACC play. Burton has scored 20 or more points four times in conference play.
• Greg Elliott is averaging 16.7 and 4.7 rebounds, while going 13-of-23 (.565) from three-point range, over the past three games. He has a career-best 48 threes on the season.

20th Anniversary Celebration • The 2002-03 season proved memorable for many reasons beginning with the opening of the Petersen Events Center and culminating with the Panthers' first Big East Championship following a 74-56 win over Connecticut at Madison Square Garden on March 15. Pitt finished the year 28-5 overall (13-3 in the Big East) and 16-0 at home and was one of five schools to spend the entire season ranked in the top 10 of the AP Poll.
