No. 20 Pitt Takes Down Bucknell

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt wrestling team earned their second dual win of the weekend with an 18-13 victory over the Bucknell Bison, early Sunday afternoon at the Fitzgerald Field House.
The Panthers took control of the dual early, winning the first four matches to take a 12-0 lead. Tyler Chappell (125) and Evan Tallmadge (133) earned wins by decision for the Panthers with both recording over two minutes of riding time.
Briar Priest secured a ranked win at 141 pounds over No. 25 Dylan Chappell. Priest trailed 2-0 heading into the third period and worked his way back with an escape and a takedown late in the third period for a 4-2 victory. Kade Brown got the fourth-straight victory for the Panthers with a 5-1 victory at 149 pounds.
The Bison worked their way back in the dual by winning the next three matches, including upset victories at 174 and 197 pounds. Chase Kranitz (184) and Dayton Pitzer (285) earned wins by decision to help secure the dual for the Panthers.

The Panthers return to action with another road test at Maryland on Saturday, December 13 (7 p.m. – B1G+).
