
Meika Lee Records Two Career Highs in Meet against No. 22 North Carolina

PITTSBURGH – Freshman Meika Lee shined on Friday night against No. 22 North Carolina, recording a pair of season and career highs with a 9.875 on floor and 9.850 on beam. The Panthers ultimately lost to the Tar Heels 195.050-196.150.
Vault
The Panthers got off to a hot start, recording a season-high 48.975 on vault. Elizabeth Cesarone, Jah'Liyah Bedminster and Kennedy Duke all notched a 9.850.
Bars
Sophomore Emily Todd led the Panthers on bars with a 9.775, followed by Duke and Jaime Pratt with 9.750s. This marked Pratt's third straight meet recording at least a 9.750.
Beam
Lee stole the show on beam, registering a season and career-high 9.850. Freshman Darbi Simcox proved consistent once again, recording her second consecutive 9.800. Todd followed close behind with a 9.775.
Floor
Lee continued her impressive day by recording another season and career-high with a 9.875. Senior Jordyn Ewing matched Lee with a 9.875, her second highest score of the season. The duo captured a share of the floor title and propelled Pitt to a meet best 48.900.
