Lee, Zuckerman named PNC Achievers of the Week

PITTSBURGH – Gymnastics' Meika Lee and Baseball's Ryan Zuckerman are Pitt's PNC Achievers of the Week following a pair of strong performances.
Freshman Meika Lee recorded a career-high 9.850 on beam against No. 22 North Carolina and notched another career-high 9.875 on floor. Her share of first place on floor was her first career individual event title.
Ryan Zuckerman batted .438 with 11 total bases, seven hits, seven RBIs, a double and a walk-off home run in Pitt's sweep of Eastern Michigan this weekend. After helping the Panthers erase a six-run deficit on Opening Day, the sophomore from Yardley, PA walked it off with a solo home run in the bottom of the 12th inning . It was already the second walk-off home run of Zuckerman's young career. The third baseman walked off Washington with a solo home run in Corpus Christi, TX last season. Zuckerman collected 44 hits, drove in 31 RBIs and smacked nine home runs in his 49 starts as a freshman in 2024.
