
Brown Crowned U20 Canadian National Champion

EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada – University of Pittsburgh wrestler Kade Brown was crowned the Under-20 Canadian National Champion at 70 kilograms this past weekend at the 2025 Canadian World Team Trials.
Brown, who will be a redshirt freshman for the Panthers this upcoming season, dominated his way to the title by winning each match via technical fall.
With the national title, Brown earned a spot on the Canadian Junior National Team and will compete at the U20 Pan-American Championships (July 10-12) and the U20 World Championships (August 18-24).
Eight Panthers were also in action this weekend at the U23 USA World Team Trials in Geneva, Ohio. Redshirt-freshman Evan Tallmadge finished in fifth place at 61 kilograms.
