On March 2, 2025, Pitt headed into the final day of the regular season, needing a win and a Miami loss to secure a spot in the 2025 Ally ACC Women's Basketball Tournament.
Center Khadija Faye had arguably her best performance of the season, tallying 31 points, nine rebounds and six blocks against conference foe Wake Forest. Behind Faye's standout performance, the Panthers earned a 79-63 victory over the Demon Deacons. Hours later, Miami fell to Cal, securing Pitt's spot in the conference tournament.
The Dakar, Senegal native shot 11-for-15 from the field and 9-of-16 from the charity stripe. Of note, Faye's 31 points marked her seventh-straight game, logging 20 or more points.
