PITTSBURGH - Following a 61-9 season-opening win over Duquesne, Pitt now turns its attention to MAC foe Central Michigan for the first meeting between the two programs.

GAME STORYLINES
- Quarterback Eli Holstein threw four touchdown passes (15-of-23, 215 yards) for the first time in his career, becoming the first Pitt quarterback to accomplish the feat since Kenny Pickett in 2021. Holstein also added 41 rushing yards.
- Running back Desmond Reid totaled 147 all-purpose yards in his season debut, highlighted by a 53-yard touchdown run and an 88-yard punt return for a score—the longest punt return in Acrisure Stadium history and the longest by a Pitt player since 1945
- In his Pitt debut, wide receiver Cataurus "Blue" Hicks caught four passes for 55 yards and two touchdowns, including a one-handed grab that ranked No. 2 on ESPN's SportsCenter Top Plays.
- Wide receiver Kenny Johnson is averaging 189.0 all-purpose average after posting a 78-yard kickoff return, three punt returns for 64 yards, and four receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown.
- Linebacker Kyle Louis recorded six tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks, tying his career high. He currently leads the ACC in both sacks and tackles for loss.
- The Panthers held Duquesne to just 37 rushing yards last week and are now 40-14 under Narduzzi when holding an opponent under 100 rushing yards. The defense also limited the Dukes to 208 total yards, improving to 21-3 when keeping opponents under 250 yards.
- Offensively, Pitt racked up 460 yards—their highest single-game total since Oct. 5, 2024, against UNC (520). Thirteen different receivers caught a pass in the victory.
- Pitt is 34-6 all-time against Mid-American Conference opponents.
