Pitt will host SMU Saturday at 2 p.m. as the Panthers welcome the Mustangs to the Petersen Events Center for the first time in program history. One of the newest members of the ACC, SMU has faced Pitt just two times previously.

Saturday's game will be televised on The CW with Thom Brennaman calling the action and former ACC Player of the Year Mike Gminski serving as analyst.

SMU enters Saturday's game on a two-game losing streak, most recently with a hard-fought 84-83 defeat to NC State. The Mustangs went 8-0 to start the season but is 7-7 over the last 14 contests.

Pitt also enters on a two-game losing streak after playing back-to-back ranked opponents in No. 22/19 Clemson (63-52 loss) and No. 18/17 Virginia (67-47 loss).

At 2-8 in league play, Pitt is in a three-way tie for 16th place, with Wake Forest and Boston College just 0.5 game ahead at 2-7. The top 15 teams will qualify for the ACC Tournament March 10-14 in Charlotte, N.C.
