Panthers Post 196.00 in Elevate the Stage Meet

HUNTSVILLE, ALA. – The Pitt gymnastics team (4-12, 0-6 ACC) recorded a 196.000 at Propst Arena on Sunday night, marking its second consecutive meet scoring at least a 196.000. The Panthers ultimately fell to No. 6 Georgia (198.075), No. 14 Clemson (196.875) and No. 17 Auburn (197.200).
Floor
Pitt's floor team continued its momentum, recording a 49.300. Freshman Mali Morgan earned a career-high 9.900, followed by a pair of 9.875 scores from Emily Todd and Madi Bell. Meika Lee and Olivia Giunta each recorded a 9.825, with Giunta tying her career best. Hallie Copperwheat rounded out the rotation with a 9.800.
Vault
Four Panthers recorded a 9.825 to help Pitt reach a season-high 49.050 on vault. The mark tied personal bests for Layla Bobek, Makenzie Grant and Giunta. Kennedy Duke reached the score for the second time in the last three meets.
Bars
The Panthers earned a season-high 49.225 on bars. Copperwheat continued to deliver with a 9.900, while Camryn Chiu added a solid 9.875. Todd provided consistency once again with a 9.850, and Lee was inserted into the lineup and earned a career-high 9.825. Jaime Pratt and Kennedy Duke each added scores of 9.775.
Beam
Bobek led the beam squad with a 9.850. Morgan and Duke each contributed scores of 9.750.

Pitt returns to Fitzgerald Field House for the final time this season on Sunday, March 15, when it hosts West Virginia and Illinois State at 2 p.m. Hallie Copperwheat, Jaime Pratt, Kennedy Duke and Reyna Garvey will be honored as part of Senior Day.
