Jackson Gilman Elevated to Toronto FC First Team

PITTSBURGH – Pitt men's soccer alumni Jackson Gilman has signed a Major League Soccer contract with Toronto FC through the 2026 season with club options through the 2027-28 MLS season.
Gilman joins Toronto FC after receiving four short-term agreements and making two appearances for the club, including his MLS debut against Charlotte FC on May 16 as a starter. The Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, native was invited to Toronto FC's 2026 preseason training camp in Marbella, Spain, before signing a professional contract with Toronto FC II on Feb. 20, 2026. He has recorded 540 minutes in six appearances for TFC II during the MLS NEXT Pro regular season, making his debut and serving as team captain in the season opener against Philadelphia Union II on Feb. 28, 2026.
Gilman was selected 36th overall in the second round of the 2026 MLS SuperDraft after spending four seasons with the Panthers, where he served as captain and scored two goals and registered seven assists as a defender across 75 appearances.
