Pitt to play nine conference games in 2027, including five at home
PITTSBURGH—Pitt will play nine Atlantic Coast Conference games during the 2027 season, the ACC announced today, as it unveiled each of its 17 football programs' conference opponents.
The Panthers' home conference slate includes California, Duke, Miami, SMU and Wake Forest. Pitt will travel to face Georgia Tech, NC State, Syracuse and Virginia.
Pitt is scheduled to open the season against Wisconsin on Aug. 28 in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.
Starting in 2027, 16 teams will play a nine-game ACC schedule annually, with one team each season playing eight league games and scheduling two Power Four opponents outside the conference to accommodate the 10 Power Four games requirement.
