Madison Taylor enters her first season at Pitt as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.
Taylor joins the Panther staff from UNCW, where she served as director of operations and assistant coach since June 2023. Her primary duties as the Seahawks' director of operations included overseeing all operational logistics while executing a comprehensive academic and athletic plan to ensure student-athlete and program success. She also led the program's student managers and handled travel, team calendar management, special events, social media and community service.
In her first season as an assistant coach in 2024-25, Taylor coached 2025 CAA Defensive Player of the Year and first-team selection Ali Zelaya as well as Evan Miller, who became the program's all-time leader in games played and signed a professional contract with A.D. Sanjoanense in Portugal after the season.
Taylor also coached Kate Hollifield, who led the CAA shooting 43.5 percent from 3-point range in conference games during the 2024-25 season. She worked with Tia Dobson, who led all CAA freshmen during the 2024-25 campaign with 65 assists.
A four-year letter winner at the College of Charleston, Taylor made 101 appearances, including 52 starts, under head coach Robin Harmony.
Taylor graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor's degree in public health in 2022 and earned a master's degree from VCU's Center for Sport Leadership in 2023.
