Maurice Victor II begins his first season as the Director of Creative Content for the Pitt women’s basketball program in 2021-22 after joining the staff in July 2021.
“I’m excited to be a part of such a special family and ready to make an impact on the program in any way I can,” said Victor II.
Victor II joins the Panthers after a year of freelance work for The Icho Group and Maverick City Music. For the Icho Group, Victor II was a creative director and social strategist as he created and managed multiple social campaigns for clients. He also shot, directed and edited video productions for various projects and clients.
While at Maverick City Music, a popular contemporary worship music record label, Victor II was a videographer. He captured and edited digital content at various events while also creating digital marketing content for Maverick City Merchandise and utilizing footage to create new content used on social platforms.
Victor II got his start in the creative world during his four year college career at Liberty University where he was the social media manager for the women’s basketball team. He was responsible for capturing and editing photo and video content for internal and external use while also managing daily posting on multiple Liberty women’s basketball platforms throughout his four years with the program. Under his watchful eye, the Flames’ social platforms saw more than a 200% increase in social following.
He graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor’s degree in strategic communications in December 2020.
