Robert Drass

Robert Drass joined the Panthers in 2014, as the assistant head gymnastics coach. He has over 29 years of top-level gymnastics experience, both as an athlete and a coach.
University of Pittsburgh
- 2014-16, Assistant Head Coach
- Will serve as assistant head coach in his first year with the Panthers
- Helped lead Pitt to their first EAGL title in program history in 2016
- Coached Lindsay Offutt to the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships, where she competed on floor. Offutt was the sixth Panther all-time and first since 2007 to earn become a National Qualifier
- Led Miya Dotson to a title on bars at the 2016 EAGL Championships. Dotson later competed at the NCAA Regional as a specialist on bars
- Coached Lindsey Offutt to a sixth place finish on beam at the NCAA Regional, All-EAGL First Team on Beam and floor, an All-Tournament Team on beam and all-around and a first place finish on beam at the EAGL Championship
- Had both Miya Dotson and Taylor Laymon finish in the top-10 on bars at the EAGL Championship
University of Missouri
- 1999-2013, Head Coach
- Took Mizzou from a NCAA Regional team to post season play each year
- Directed numerous student-athletes to Conference Championships and All-American Honors as well as conference and national academic honors
- Led Mizzou to a total of seven top-20 NCAA finishes, six of those since 2005
- Coached the team to a NCAA Regional Championship, and a 12th place finish at the NCAA National Championship
- Served as a member of the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Committee from 2002-2006
- Earned the NACGC/W Regional Head Coach of the year in 2004 and 2006
- Named the Big 12 Coach of the Year in 2002
- Coached first and only team seeded #3-6 at NCAA Regional Championships to win Regional Championship
- Opened his own program, the Tiger Academy, in Columbia, Mo., from 1999-2013 and coached as a private club instructing age group gymnastics
University of Nebraska
- 1991-1999, Women's Assistant Coach
- Brought Nebraska from a NCAA Regional qualifying team to six Big 8/ Big 12 Conference Championships
- Helped the Huskers to four NCAA National Championship Appearances, two Super Six NCAA National Championship Appearances and several Individual Conference Champions and All-Americans both academically and athletically
- Served as the primary recruiter for the Women's Gymnastics Team
Collegiate Career
- 1986-1991, Student-Athlete at Penn State University
- Competed on teams that qualified for the NCAA Men's National Championship each year finishing as high as 2nd place
Education
- Earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing with emphasis in finance and computer science from Pennsylvania State University in 1990
- Completed his MBA in strategic management and long-range planning from the University of Nebraska in 1994
