Pitt opened the match with three exciting doubles matches. The Panthers actually clinched the doubles point after No. 2 and No.3 doubles won, however the No. 1 doubles team of sophomore Kristy Borza (Beaver, Pa./Beaver Area) and junior Leah Friedman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) played through a tiebreaker to earn the sweep. Borza and Friedman lead the team with a 15-5 mark on the season.

The Panthers earned their seventh sweep in doubles play this season. However it also marks the first time Pitt has lost a match after sweeping doubles.
In singles action, freshman Sabrina Visram (
Playing in No. 1 singles, Borza earned Pitt's third point with a 6-0, 6-1 win.
Pitt is back in action on Tuesday, March 27, as the Panthers make the short trip to Carnegie Mellon at 4 p.m.
