Men's Track Wraps up Weekend at Two Meets

Bucknell Outdoor Classic Results
PITTSBURGH -- The University of Pittsburgh's men's track and field team wrapped up action at two meets this weekend, competing at the Sea Ray Relays, hosted by the University of Tennessee and the Bucknell Outdoor Classic, hosted by Bucknell University.
Two Panthers earned IC4A qualifying times in the 100 meter dash. Antony Hobwana ran a 10.52 at the Sea Ray Relays, finishing 11th while Idris Kasumu posted a 10.66 at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic, taking third place.
Anthony Casciano finished ninth in the 400 meter dash, running a 49.99 at Bucknell while Dontave Cowsette and Brione Reid-Carthan finished within a tenth of a second of each other in the 800 meter run at the Sea Ray Relays, running 1:54.51 and 1:54.64 to take 20th and 22nd place respectively.
The 4x800 meter relay team finished fifth in Tennessee, running a time of 7:41.11. In the 1,500 meter run, Greg Kareis clocked in a 3:56.42, taking 17th place.
In the field events at Bucknell, Jay Pittenger took fifth in the high jump with a leap of 1.94 meters while Folarin Ijelu's mark of 7.05 meters in the long jump gave him fourth place. Garrett Larkin's mark of 15.78 meters in the shot put hit the IC4A qualifying distance and gave him fourth place while teammate Dan Kwiatkowski followed close behind in seventh with a heave of 14.95 meters.
Up next for the track and field teams will be the Louisville Invitational, April 18th in Louisville, Ky.
