Storylines & Notables:
• Today’s meeting is a very personal encounter. Coach Berenato’s high school coach was Lafayette coach Dianne Nolan’s high school coach and mentor, as well: Bertha ‘Bert’ Nolan. Nolan - Dianne’s mother - was the long-time coach at Gloucester Catholic, who helped bring girl’s basketball to the modern level (which included the shift to 5-on-5).
• Today’s game is the final regular season game for the Panthers and concludes a stretch of 10 of 14 at home.
• This is the third-straight season Pitt has played on Dec. 31 - and is 2-0 in those games.
• Under Coach B, Pitt is 7-1 in the last game of a calendar year and 22-15 overall.
