PITTSBURGH - The University of Pittsburgh softball team was named a 2015-16 Easton/NFCA Division I All-Academic Team, while former Pitt softball standout Maggie Sevilla earned scholar-athlete honors as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Thursday afternoon.
As a team, the Panthers concluded the 2015-16 season with a 3.058 GPA.

Sevilla, who graduated this past May with a dual-major in psychology and administration of justice, earned recognition after posting a GPA of 3.5 or higher during the 2015-16 academic school year.
This marks the third consecutive season that she has earned NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors.
In total, there were 1,240 Division I players who earned Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete accolades and 5,152 player across all divisions of the NCAA.
