PITTSBURGH - Pitt women's basketball (3-0) will look to reach its best start to a season since 2009-10 when it takes on Loyola Maryland (2-2) at Petersen Events Center Monday at 7 p.m. ET.

- The Panthers will host their fourth consecutive game at Petersen Events Center when they take on the Greyhounds Monday. Pitt is in the middle of its longest regular-season home stand (nine games) since playing the first 11 games of the 1975-76 season in Pittsburgh.
- Pitt's stingy defense is ranked highly among ACC teams. Through three games, the Panthers are second in the league in points allowed average (46.3), field goal percentage defense (.290), blocked shots per game (6.3).
- Sophomore Brenna Wise is at the top of the conference with 6.7 defensive rebounds per game. She leads the Panthers with 8.3 total boards per game.

LAST TIME OUT
Pitt limited Loyola Chicago (0-2) to 19.1 percent shooting with nine made field goals as the Panthers defeated the Ramblers, 59-35, Thursday evening at Petersen Events Center. Loyola's 35 points are the fewest allowed by Pitt since a 53-35 win over Virginia Tech on Feb. 12, 2015. The Panthers held the Ramblers to just two made field goals in the second half, including zero made in the third quarter. Pitt shot 37.1 percent (23-of-62) from the field, 24.0 percent (6-of-25) from long range, and 77.8 percent (7-of-9) from the charity stripe.
Sophomore Brenna Wise and graduate transfer Brandi Harvey-Carr led the Panthers with 13 points and eight rebounds apiece. Sophomore Kauai Bradley had nine points and six rebounds while posting career highs of five steals and four assists. She also led the squad with three blocks. Classmate Kalista Walters had eight points and tied her career high of eight rebounds.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
Last time out, Loyola Maryland (2-2) snapped a two-game losing streak with a 69-60 over St. Francis (Brooklyn) Saturday at home. Junior guard Bri Betz-White posted her third consecutive game scoring 20 points or more, going 8-of-13 from the field and 3-of-5 from long range. She leads the Greyhounds with 19.8 points per game.
Pitt is unbeaten all-time against Loyola Maryland, at 6-0. The Panthers are 4-0 against the Greyhounds when playing in Pittsburgh. The teams last met Nov. 30, 2014, resulting in an 84-46 win for Pitt at Petersen Events Center.
