Tougas, Sweet Join Women's Basketball Staff

PITTSBURGH – Pitt women's basketball head coach Robin Harmony announced the addition of Sophia Tougas as director of video and Cassie Sweet as director of basketball operations.
Tougas comes to Pittsburgh after completing her playing career at the College of Charleston, where she was a starter on Harmony's 2026 CAA championship team. As a redshirt senior, she started all 32 games and averaged 9.0 points per game, connecting on 69 three-pointers and shooting 34.5 percent from beyond the arc. Prior to Charleston, Tougas played at Cal State Bakersfield, where she led the team in three-point conversions in her second season.
Sweet brings five years of experience in the Pitt athletic department to the role. From July 2022 through the 2024-25 season, she served as assistant director of social media and media operations in the Strategic Communications department, acting as a liaison for visiting teams, media and professional scouts and overseeing press row at the Petersen Events Center. In 2025-26, Sweet transitioned to the communications department, where she served as the primary media contact for the women's basketball program.
