PITTSBURGH -- Competing in one of the world's most prestigious meets, the Pitt sprinters will race at the Penn Relays this weekend, while the rest of the team is set for the Buffalo Invitational.
The Penn Relays at legendary Franklin Field begins on Thursday the 28th and concludes on Saturday the 30th. The Buffalo Invitational is set for Saturday the 30th.
PENN RELAYS:
In the 122nd running of the Penn Relays, the men's 4x400 meter relay team will look to improve upon its season-best 3:06.97 which was set last week at the Virginia Challenge. Two years ago at the Penn Relays, the Panthers won the 4x4 for the first time in 75 years, and last year they took eighth overall.
The meet will start on Thursday morning with Laila Ismail and Morgan Harvey in the women's 400 meter hurdles. The 4x4 will be the final event on Saturday night at 6 p.m.
