
Todd and Simcox Record Career Highs Against Clemson Friday Night

CLEMSON, S.C. – Emily Todd and Darbi Simcox impressed on Friday night in Littlejohn Coliseum as they recorded career highs in uneven bars and beam, respectively. The Panthers put together a solid meet, narrowly losing to No. 22 Clemson, 195.275-195.350.
Bars
Emily Todd scored a career-high 9.850 to lead the Panthers in bars while Jaime Pratt recorded a solid 9.775. Kennedy Duke and Jordyn Ewing followed with a pair of 9.725s.
Vault
Three Panthers recorded at least a 9.800 as Elizabeth Cesarone (9.825), Jah'Liyah Bedminster (9.825) and Kennedy Duke (9.800) impressed in vault. Freshman Olivia Giunta notched a 9.775 for the second straight meet, and the Panthers totaled a 48.850.
Floor
Ewing (9.825) and Bedminster (9.800) led the Panthers once again on floor. This marked Ewing's third meet of the season that she has recorded at least a 9.825 in the event. Freshman Meika Lee put up an impressive 9.775 score, and Olivia Giunta recorded a season-best 9.725 to put the Panthers at 48.750.
Beam
Darbi Simcox put up a huge 9.875 score after only competing in her second career meet. Reyna Garvey (9.825) and Emily Todd (9.800) also recorded season bests as Pitt finished the event with a 48.950 event score.
UP NEXT
Pitt continues its away stretch at NC State on Sat., Feb. 8 in Raleigh. The meet will begin at 4 p.m. in Reynolds Coliseum.
