
Je'Nyia Burton Races at NCAA Championships, Earns Second Team All-American Recognition

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Je'Nyia Burton competed in the 400-meter race at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships, taking 16th place with a time of 52.91. Burton, the ACC Champion in the event, earned Second Team All-American honors for her effort.
A native of Orlando, Fla., Burton had a stellar indoor season with the Panthers. Burton set three school records (200m, 300m, 400m), was named Second Team All-ACC in the 200-meter dash for her fifth place finish in the event at ACC Championships, which followed a first place performance and First Team All-ACC honors in the 400-meter race.
Burton becomes the fourth Panther in the last three years, joining Ilse Steigenga (2023, 1st Team), Lydia Bottelier (2024, 2nd Team), and Foluke Olujide-Ajibade (2024, 2nd Team) and 31st Panther in women's program history to receive All-American recognition.
