
Five Panthers Prep for NCAA Men’s Championships

PITTSBURGH – Five Panthers are set to compete in the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships this week in Federal Way, WA.
The Championships will be held Wednesday through Saturday, March 26-29, at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center.
Reigning NCAA All-American (3M) and honorable mention All-American (Platform) Cameron Cash is ready to finish his career on a high note. The senior from The Woodlands, TX won two bronze medals at the ACC Championships a month ago on the 3-Meter and Platform. He is the first diver in program history to qualify for NCAA's on all three boards in all four years of his career.
Fifth-year senior Max Matteazzi set five school records at the ACC Championships. He currently holds the school record in the 200 IM (1:43.34), 400 IM (3:40.89), 500 Free (4:18.17) and the 800 Free Relay (6:16.70).
Jackson Salisbury won the Zone A Championship on Platform (668.15) to punch his ticket to these championships at NCAA Zones two weeks ago. He is now a 2x NCAA Championship qualifier.
Sophomore Chase Marafioto earned the highest NCAA Zone finish of his career and qualified for NCAA's for the first time in his career. Marafioto scored a 646.70 on the men's platform. He will also be competing on the 1-Meter for the Panthers.
True freshman Noah Bernard qualified for both the 1-Meter and 3-Meter competitions. Bernard finished seventh in the 1-Meter finals (6:43.30) and fourth in the 3-Meter finals at NCAA Zones with a 746.70 to punch his tickets to the NCAA Championships for the first time in his career.
