Panthers Wrap Up Season at Men’s NCAA Championships

Federal Way, WA - Four Panthers competed on the final day of the Men's NCAA Championships as the 2024-25 Pitt Swimming and Diving season came to a close on Saturday.
Three divers (Cameron Cash, Chase Marafioto and Jackson Salisbury) all competed in the platform competition while Max Matteazzi swam the 200 breaststroke. Cash, Matteazzi and Salisbury all competed in the last events of their Pitt careers.
Matteazzi had the highest NCAA finish of his career in the 200 breaststroke on Saturday afternoon. The fifth-year senior swam a 1:54.22 and finished 31st. Matteazzi finished 36th in the event last year.
In the final event of his Pitt career, Jackson Salisbury had the best NCAA finish of his career, placing 30th on platform. Salisbury would score a 291.05 in the prelims.
After earning All-America status on the 3-Meter last night, Cameron Cash placed 32nd on platform in what would be the final event of his illustrious Pitt career. Cash scored a 289.10 in the prelims on Saturday. Last year, he earned honorable mention All-America honors on platform.
Chase Marafioto scored a 271.50 and finished 38th in his first time competing on platform at NCAA's. Marafioto finished 17th on the 1-Meter on Thursday afternoon.
