
Panthers Record Second Highest Team Score in Program History With Win Over West Virginia

PITTSBURGH – Pitt recorded the second highest team score in program history in a win over West Virginia, 196.575-196.275. Six Panthers recorded personal bests, and Pitt notched season highs in vault, beam and floor.
Vault
The Panthers set a new season-high 49.075 on vault as five Panthers registered at least a 9.800. Freshman Olivia Giunta began the rotation in style by putting up a career-high 9.800. Jaime Pratt followed with a 9.825, tying a career high set earlier this season against Cal. Seniors Jah'Liyah Bedminster and Elizabeth Cesarone recorded a pair of 9.825s as well. Kennedy Duke notched a 9.800, and freshman Lila Pileggi added a 9.750.
Bars
Duke gave the Panthers momentum on bars, earning a career-high 9.850, along with Bedminster. Julie Røttum Madsø recorded a career high of her own with a 9.825. Jaime Pratt (9.800), Emily Todd (9.775) and Jordyn Ewing (9.750) wrapped up the rotation for Pitt.
Beam
Darbi Simcox put up a career high and a Pitt season best with a 9.925 to highlight the beam rotation. Freshman counterpart Meika Lee displayed her beam capabilities once again by tying her career-high 9.850. Røttum Madsø continued her solid day with a 9.800, and Duke (9.775) and Cesarone (9.700) added to Pitt's season-high score.
Floor
For the first time this season two Panthers recorded 9.900s on the same event, as Lee and Pratt teamed up to do so on floor. Cesarone put up a season-high 9.875, and Bedminster (9.850) and Jordyn Ewing (9.825) impressed to secure the victory over the Mountaineers.

Pitt hits the road to compete in a quad meet against Ohio State, Kent State and West Virginia in Columbus. The meet will begin at 2 p.m. on March 9 in the Covelli Center and can be streamed on BTN+.
