PITTSBURGH - The Pitt Panthers fell in game two of their series to the No. 15 ranked Clemson Tigers on Friday afternoon, 11-2.

Left fielder AJ Nessler racked up two singles on the afternoon as he collected his 16th multiple-hit game of the season. Third baseman Ryan Zuckerman hit his team-leading 13th home run of the season on a two-run shot in the fourth inning. Senior outfielder David Pedanou had a single through the right side on senior day.

Right handers Kayden Faulcon and Andrew Gaines each tossed scoreless outings in relief on Friday. Faulcon allowed just one hit over two scoreless frames while he struck out three. Gaines struck out the final batter he faced in his scoreless ninth inning.

The No. 15 Tigers scored runs in each of the first three frames as they led 7-0 through the first three innings.

Luke Cantwell led off the fourth inning with a four-pitch walk. Ryan Zuckerman followed with a two-run blast to right center for his team-leading 13th home run of the year to put the Panthers on the board. AJ Nessler singled up the middle on the first pitch after Zuckerman's home run for his first hit of the day. Nessler would however be stranded at first at the end of the inning. Pitt trailed 7-2 after four.

Clemson added a pair of runs over the fifth and sixth innings to extend their lead to nine. They went on to win Friday's contest, 11-2.
