THE OPENING TIP
-
Pitt continues its final push towards a spot in the ACC Tournament as the Panthers make their first conference west coast swing. Pitt begins the trip by playing Stanford Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST (5 p.m. PST) on the ACC Network.
-
Dave Feldman and Ben Braun will be on the call for Wednesday's game on the ACC Network.
-
The game will also be broadcast on the Panthers Radio Network (flagship 93.7 The Fan) with Bill Hillgrove (play-by-play) and Curtis Aiken (analysis) providing the commentary.
-
Following Saturday's win over Notre Dame, Pitt vaulted into the driver's seat for the final spot in the ACC Tournament. The Panthers, however, will look to climb higher up the ACC standings over the final two weeks of the regular season. The team's final four opponents are all currently .500 or worse in the league standings.
-
Pitt will look for a rarety to move up the standings -- sweeping the ACC west coast swing. In the past two seasons, only Wake Forest last year and Duke and Clemson in 2025-26 have been able to earn two wins in California.
-
Pitt leads the all-time series with Stanford 3-1, including last year's 83-68 victory inside Petersen Events Center. The Panthers have won both games against the Cardinal since 1950, featuring an 88-67 neutral site victory in the 2013-14 season.
