Pittman Named ACC Pitcher of the Week

PITTSBURGH – Following a dominant weekend in the circle, Kyra Pittman has been named ACC Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Pittman played a pivotal role in leading Pitt to a series victory over NC State, earning wins in both of her appearances. The right-hander opened the weekend with a complete-game performance, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out a career-high six batters and issuing only one walk.
Pittman returned in the series finale to secure the series-clinching victory, tossing 3.2 innings of relief. Pittman allowed just one earned run and one walk while shutting down the Wolfpack in extra innings, retiring three of four batters to seal the win for the Panthers.
On the weekend, Pittman combined for two wins while limiting NC State to just two runs across 10.2 innings of work.
