Panthers Host Penguins at 6 PM

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt Panthers (21-9, 6-6 ACC) host the Youngstown State Penguins (5-24, 3-6 Horizon) for the second time this season on Wednesday afternoon at 6 PM.
The contest that was originally schedule as a home game for Youngstown State has since moved to Charles L. Cost Field. The Panthers walked-off the Penguins on a bunt in their first matchup of the year two weeks ago.
Top of the Order
• SS Caden Dulin has recorded a hit in each of the last 10 games and drove in the winning run in Sunday's walk-off victory over Wake Forest. Dulin was named the ACC Co-Player of the Week a week ago.
• The Oakland Lumber Company is open for business and Pitt's offense is one of the best in the country. They lead the country in base on balls (227), rank second in home runs per game (2.23), third in home runs (67), fourth in SLG (.585), scoring (10.1) and OBP (.457) and ninth in runs scored (303).
• Pitt leads the entire country in walks this season with 227. OF Lorenzo Carrier's 36 walks rank second in the ACC and third in the country.
• The Panther offense has slugged 67 home runs so far this season. They have driven in 126 runs via the long ball, hitting six grand slams and fourteen three-run home runs this year.
• Pitt scored the second-most runs in program history last Tuesday with their 27-run output against Mercyhurst. Their 24-run margin of victory in their 27-3 win was also the second-highest mark in program history.
• Lorenzo Carrier ranks third in the country in walks (36), fourth in OBP (.563), sixth in RBI (50), eighth in SLG (.871) and 14th in home runs (13). He earned multiple midseason First Team All-America honors and was named to the Golden Spikes Award and Baseball America Player of the Year Midseason Watch Lists.
• Pitt has won each of their four midweek games at home this season.
