PITTSBURGH – The Pitt Panthers (22-9, 6-6 ACC) host the California Golden Bears (15-16, 1-11 ACC) for the second time in program history — and the first time as ACC foes. Pitt is 5-0 all-time against Cal.
The Panthers earned a season sweep of Youngstown State with a 12-2 win in seven innings on Wednesday. LHP Antonio Doganiero pitched a gem, striking out a career-high seven batters over six shutout innings. His 1.72 ERA leads the entire ACC.
