PITTSBURGH - Pitt Lacrosse Head Coach Emily Boissonneault has completed her staff for the 2026-27 school year with the addition of Abby Moran, as was announced Monday afternoon.
"We are beyond excited to welcome Abby to the staff!" said Boissonneault. "We are proud of everything our draw unit has done to elevate this team, and with Abby's experience and tactical approach to draw taking, we believe she can take us to the next level."
"Collegiate coaching has always been a dream of mine, and I'm so grateful that Pitt is where I get to start that journey," said Moran. "From my very first conversations with Coach Boissonneault and the staff, I knew it was a special place with incredible people and a culture I wanted to be a part of. I'm excited to build relationships with our student-athletes, continue growing as a coach and to get to work."
Moran joins the Pitt staff after completing her distinguished playing career at Jacksonville University. On the field, she ranked among the nation's best draw specialists, finishing fifth in the country in draw controls per game (10.16) and fourth in draw control percentage (.634). She earned IWLCA All-Region, USA Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention All-America and Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-America honors. She set Jacksonville records for career, single-season and single-game draw controls with 193 this past season and 501 in her four years.
Off the field, Moran graduated with a degree in Education. She has already spent over five years coaching youth in Texas and Florida, assisting at Grit Lacrosse Club (TX), Legend Lacrosse Club (TX) and Jaws Lacrosse Club (FL) and specializes in leading draw control, midfield and game IG development.
Moran is originally from Lapin Cove, Austin, Texas.
