NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Pitt women's lacrosse assistant coach Kelly Layton is set to participate in the IWLCA Aspire Assistant Coach Development Program. The program is designed to align with the IWLCA's vision to offer an intensive, high-quality continuing education opportunity for current assistant coaches.
The IWLCA worked with e.t.c coaching consultants to plan and execute the program's curriculum with Sarah McQuade and Julie Muller serving as the lead facilitators. During the program, participants will attend virtual and in-person programming throughout the fall semester, wrapping up in January 2027.
Layton joined the Panther coaching staff in Sept. 2024. During her tenure, Pitt has recorded its first top-15 victory in program history. The Panthers also entered the national top 25 for the first time in program history during the 2026 season.
