- Has three brothers, Aaron, Donovan and Braylon
- Father, Gilbert, played basketball at Pitt from 1988-90
- Mother Amy Schuler Johnson was a 1,000-point scorer at Kent State from 1982-86 and currently ranks No. 19 on the school’s all-time scoring list (1,018 points)
- Brother, Aaron, is the all-time leading scorer at Moon Area High School and played at Clarion University
- Has been a Pitt fan all of his life and always wanted to attend Pitt
- An outstanding student who was a member of the National Honor Society ... was also salutatorian at Our Lady of Sacred Heart
- Signed with Pitt on April 21, 2014
- Earned scholarship offers from several Ivy League schools including Columbia and Penn ... also received interest from Boston College, Stanford, Rice, Richmond and Virginia
