High School: Was a four-year letter winner and starter at Ephrata high school… finished off her impressive high school career with 55 goals, 49 assists and 159 points… tabbed as an All-State honoree after her impressive senior season that saw her pour in a league-high 25 goals, 12 assists and 62 points… helped lead her team to a 21-4-1 record as they advanced to the 2018 AAAA State semifinals with Root netting seven goals, four game-winners, in the postseason run… named First Team All-League as a junior and senior while earning Second Team honors as a sophomore… was named Section Most Valuable Player after netting 17 goals and a league-high 13 assists while also leading her team to the 2017 Section Championship… also started at point guard for the basketball team.
