2015 Outdoor: First Team All-ACC in the javelin after placing third in Tallahassee with a distance of 67.91...Threw a lifetime-best 69.44m at the Virginia Challenge...Won the javelin at the UNF Invitational (66.99m) and the Jesse Owens Classic (64.03m)...Ranks 20th in the East Region and 34th nationally.

2014 Outdoor: Threw a season-best 64.74m at the ACC Championship Meet to earn First Team All-ACC...Placed 16th at NCAA East Regionals.

High School: Shalaway was a Pac-10 champion, district one champion, finished in fifth-place at states, finished in seventh-place at nationals...holds both the school and county record in javelin at 208 feet, 8 inches...team captain both his junior and senior season...did not throw as a freshman...also was a basketball team captain.

Personal: Born on September 28, 1994...son of Dave and Carol Shalaway...has two siblings, Quin and Elijah...majoring in rehab sciences.
