PITTSBURGH - The Pitt men's soccer team (5-7-3, 0-5-1 ACC) fell to Harvard (6-4-2, 3-0 Ivy) on Tuesday afternoon by a score of 3-2 at Ambrose Urbanic Field.
The Panthers and Crimson both registered six shots, but Harvard earned nine corner kicks while Pitt had five.
The Crimson took the first lead of the game in the 24th minute thanks to a header off a corner kick from Daniel Smith. The Panthers tied the game just two minutes later in similar fashion as freshman forward Matt Bragg headed in his second career goal off a Patrick Dixon corner kick.
In the 31st minute, Dixon fired in his third goal of the season giving Pitt its first lead of the game. That lead would be short-lived as Harvard tacked on two more goals in the 40th and 67th minutes.
Senior goalkeeper Dan Lynd made three total saves on the day.
The Panthers return to Ambrose Urbanic Field on Saturday, Oct. 24, for their last home game of the regular season, which will also serve as Senior Night. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
