PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh women's basketball team continues its ACC road trip, traveling to Blacksburg, Va., for a Thursday night showdown with the Virginia Tech Hokies. The game is set to tip at 7 p.m. ET from the Cassell Coliseum.

- Junior center Kalista Walters is sixth in the country and leads the ACC with a season field goal percentage of .659 (85-of-129).
- Freshman guard Pika Rodriguez ranks sixth in the nation and holds the best 3-point field goal percentage in the ACC at 48.0 percent (24-of-50). She is tied for 12th in the league with 2.0 threes made per game this season.
- The Panthers are second in the nation in total blocked shots (111), trailing just William & Mary (120). Pitt leads the ACC in blocked shots per game (6.9), ranking fourth in the nation.
- Be Pitt's first ACC win of the season and snap a six-game losing streak in ACC regular season games. Pitt's last win against an ACC opponent was Feb. 16, 2017, versus Virginia Tech at Petersen Events Center.
- Be Pitt's first victory on a Thursday in the 2017-18 season. The Panthers are currently 0-4 in Thursday games.
- Snap an 11-game streak of losses on the road during the ACC regular season.

- Freshman guard Jasmine Whitney set a career high with 21 points in the contest as Kalista Walters put up her fourth double-double of the season, tallying 16 points and 10 rebounds in the outing.
- Freshman Kyla Nelson made her fifth start of the season in place of forward Danielle Garven. Nelson played a season-high 34 minutes.
- Virginia Tech (12-4, 1-2 ACC) has lost two of its last three after rattling off a six-game win streak from Nov. 30-Dec. 16. The Hokies last took on No. 3 Louisville on the road, dropping a 67-56 decision to the Cardinals. Virginia Tech's last win came on Dec. 31 in a 89-58 win over Boston College at home.
- Junior guard Taylor Emrey leads the Hokie offense, averaging 15.3 points per game and shooting an impressive 51.6 percent from the floor. She leads the ACC with an .871 free throw percentage. Teammate Regan Magarity also averages just over 15 points per game (15.1), shooting .438 from the floor and .721 at the line.
- Magarity is the team's leading rebounder, averaging nearly a double-double per game, grabbing 9.5 boards per game. She's collected 152 total rebounds on the season, 100 of which were on defense.
- Virginia Tech leads the all-time series 7-5, dating back to the 1980 season. The Hokies own a 4-1 mark over the Panthers in Blacksburg. Of late, the Panthers have won the last two meetings. Virginia Tech's last win over Pitt came on March 5, 2015 in a 51-45 victory in the ACC Tournament in Greensboro, S.C.
