Pitt Returns Home to as Regular Season Nears End
PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh women's soccer team dropped a 7-0 decision to sixth-ranked Virginia Sunday afternoon at Klöckner Stadium in Charlottesville, Va.
Pitt (4-9-1, 0-7-0 ACC) succumbed to an excellent Virginia team that would jump out to a 4-0 lead in the opening half before solidifying the victory with three second half scores.
The Panthers return to action Thursday, hosting No. 13 Florida State at 7 p.m. in the first of the final two home games of the 2018 regular season. Pitt welcomes Notre Dame Sunday at 1 p.m. before traveling to No. 8 Boston College on Thursday, Oct. 25 to conclude the 2018 campaign.
