
Panthers Earn 13 First Place Finishes in First Meet of the Season at CMU Relay

PITTSBURGH - The Pitt Men's and Women's Swim team earned seven 1-2-3 finishes and 13 first place finishes at the CMU Relay Meet on Saturday afternoon.
In their first meet of the 2024-25 season, the Panthers won 13 of the 16 relay events that were held at CMU.
The Women's relay team of Claire Jansen, Cecilia Viberg, Avery Kudlac and Jill Berger kickstarted the meet with a first-place victory in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:44.86.
The Men earned their first first place finish in the 500 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 4:03.61. Pitt's team of Donat Fabian, Alex Bauer, Michael Piela, Max Matteazzi finished nearly five seconds ahead of the second place CMU team.
