THE OPENING TIP
- Pitt (5-0) travels to White Sulphur Springs, W.V. to play LSU (4-0) Friday, Nov. 22 in the Greenbrier Tip-Off. Opening tip is set for 2:30 p.m. from Colonial Hall at the Greenbrier Resort with Jack Benjamin and Matt McCall calling the action on CBS Sports Network.
- The Panthers, ranked 16th in the latest KenPom ratings (+21.95), are looking for their first 6-0 start since the 2018-19 season. Pitt won the first six games of head coach Jeff Capel's first season with the Panthers.
- Pitt has a +28.6 points per game scoring margin and has won each of the first five games by 15 or more points. The five-game stretch of 15+ point wins is the longest since winning the first seven games of the 2013-14 season in such fashion.
- Friday's game begins a stretch of five consecutive contests away from home against power conference opponents for the Panthers. Pitt will go 22 days (Nov. 18-Dec. 11) between home games and will have just two more home games before the start of the new year.
- The Panthers have topped the 80-point mark in all five games this season and have now won 20 consecutive games when scoring 80 or more points.
- Pitt is averaging 88.2 points per game, while shooting 51.3 percent (157-of-306) from the field. The Panthers rank 23rd nationally (third in the ACC) in KenPom adjusted offensive efficiency at 116.0 points per 100 possessions. All five starters for Pitt are averaging 10 or more points per game.

- Pitt's starting backcourt of Ishmael Leggett, Damian Dunn, and Jaland Lowe combines to average 46.4 points per game on 51.0 percent (80-of-157) shooting from the field. The trio has 13 double-figure scoring games and four games with 20 or more points scored on the season.
- Ishmael Leggett is averaging a team-high 17.6 points per game, while also ranking third in the ACC in field goal percentage (.648). He has made at least six field goals and shot over 50 percent from the field in all five games.
- Jaland Lowe is filling the stat sheet this season averaging 13.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 2.2 steals per game. He is 21-of-22 (.955) from the foul line and has topped the 20-point mark twice on the season. Lowe is one of three players in the NCAA averaging at least 13.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game on the season.
- Damian Dunn is averaging 15.2 points and 2.6 assists per game, while shooting 55.3 percent (21-of-38) from the field for the Panthers. He has scored in double figures in all five games with a season-best 23 points in last Friday's win over West Virginia.
- Guillermo Diaz Graham is averaging 10.0 points and a team-high 7.8 rebounds in 24.7 minutes per game. He has scored in double figures in four games, while also grabbing seven or more rebounds three times this season. Diaz Graham recorded his second career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in last Friday's win over West Virginia.
- Zack Austin has been an impact player off the Pitt bench through five games averaging 5.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and an ACC-leading 3.0 blocks in 22.8 minutes per game. He is six rejections away from reaching 200 blocks for his career.
- Brandin Cummings has provided a spark off the Pitt bench and is averaging 6.0 points and 1.6 assists in 15.4 minutes per game. A three-time all-state selection and younger brother of 2023 Pitt standout Nelly Cummings, Cummings posted 2,222 points with 271 three-pointers during his high school career at Lincoln Park in Midland, Pa.
- The Panthers return four of their top six scorers from a year ago with the backcourt tandem of Ishmael Leggett and Jaland Lowe leading the way. Leggett and Lowe are off to a strong start to the 2024-25 season combining to average 31.6 points, 12.0 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 3.8 steals per game.
- Pitt has five players 6-10 or taller on the roster for the first time in program history. The Panthers starting frontcourt Cameron Corhen (6-10) and Guillermo Diaz Graham (7-0) combines to average 22.6 points and 14.2 rebounds per game.
- Pitt has outscored the opposition, 92-39, in points off turnovers through the five games. The Panthers are committing 9.0 turnovers per game after finishing last season among the ACC leaders in that category as well.
- Pitt is averaging 38.0 points in the paint to go along with 16.0 points per game from the foul line through five games. The Panthers have topped a combined 50 points in the paint and at the foul line in all five contests.
- The Panthers are shooting 61.5 percent (110-of-179) on its two-point field goal attempts this season with Ishmael Leggett (27-of-37) and Cameron Corhen (26-of-36) combining to go 53-of-73 (.726) from inside the three-point arc.
- Pitt ranks 16th (2nd in the ACC) in KenPom adjusted defensive efficiency allowing just 94.1 points per 100 possessions.
- The Panthers have grabbed 40 or more rebounds in four of its five games, including a season-high 47 rebounds against VMI.
PANTHER SPOTLIGHT – CAMERON CORHEN
- Cameron Corhen has scored in double figures in all five games and is averaging 12.6 points and 6.4 rebounds, while shooting a team-high 69.2 percent (27-of-39) from the field. He ranks second in the ACC and 29th nationally in field goal percentage.
- Corhen has scored 12 or more points and grabbed at least five rebounds in all five games this season. He also has five or more made field goals, while shooting at least 60.0 percent from the field in each game.
