
Panthers Set Two Pool Records, One School Record and Earn Seven Wins Versus #13 and #14 Ohio State

PITTSBURGH – Pitt set two Trees Pool records, one school record and won seven events against ranked Ohio State Buckeyes teams.
Four seniors earned wins on senior day this afternoon for the Panthers.
Senior diver, Jess Vega, took home first in the women's 3M competition on senior day. Her victory this afternoon was her second of the year and second in her last three meets.
Fifth years, Sophie Yendell and Max Matteazzi, each broke their own Trees Pool records from earlier this season. Yendell re-set the pool record in the 50 Free (21.92) while Matteazzi re-set his in the 400 IM (3:43.42).
Yendell would also claim the 100 Butterfly with her 51.74, taking first in two events on her senior day.
Avery Kudlac's leadoff leg in the women's 400 Freestyle Relay set the school record for the 100 Freestyle (48.98). She currently holds four relay school records, this is her first individual record.
Senior, Krzysztof Radziszewski, won the 100 Backstroke with a 47.63.
Freshmen Julian Koch and Kimmy Shannon each earned wins as they continue to perform in theirs first years with the Panthers. Koch took the 100 Free (43.23) while Shannon won the 200 Backstroke (1:56.13).
The Panthers return to the pool when they travel to Columbus, OH for the Ohio State Winter Invite from February 14 – 16.
